College Access and Opportunities

At The House We Built, we believe higher education is one of the most powerful pathways to lifelong opportunity. Basketball serves as the platform that opens doors, but our mission extends far beyond earning athletic scholarships. We partner with student-athletes and their families throughout every stage of the college journey—from identifying the right academic and athletic fit to navigating admissions, financial aid, eligibility, enrollment, and life after graduation. Our goal is not simply to help young men attend college; it is to help them graduate, build meaningful careers, and become leaders who positively impact their communities.

College Exposure

Basketball provides access to opportunities that many young people might not otherwise receive. Through participation in the nationally recognized circuits, our student-athletes compete against elite competition while gaining exposure to hundreds of college coaches from NCAA Division I, II, and III institutions. Our national platform allows our players to demonstrate their abilities while competing alongside many of the country's top prospects.

Individualized College Advocacy

Every student-athlete's journey is unique. We actively advocate for our players by creating personalized highlight videos, communicating directly with college coaches, promoting accomplishments through our media platforms, and helping families navigate the recruiting process. Our goal is to ensure every student-athlete receives opportunities that align with both their athletic potential and long-term aspirations.

Finding the Right Fit

Choosing a college is one of the most important decisions a young person can make. Rather than focusing solely on athletic prestige, we help families evaluate the complete picture, including academics, campus culture, financial aid, athletic opportunity, career preparation, and personal development. We believe the best fit is the one that positions each student-athlete for success during college and long after graduation.

Beyond Recruitment

Our support doesn't end when a student-athlete commits to college. We continue to mentor our alumni through college, providing guidance with transfers, eligibility, financial aid, career planning, and professional opportunities. Through our partnership with New England Community Services (NECS) and our growing alumni network, student-athletes also gain access to leadership development, internships, workforce experiences, and mentorship that prepare them for meaningful careers and lifelong success.

Relationships That Open Doors

Over the past decade, we have built trusted relationships with college coaches across all NCAA divisions, as well as a growing network of alumni competing and working throughout the country. These relationships create opportunities that extend beyond recruiting. They provide mentorship, professional connections, career guidance, and a community that continues to support our student-athletes long after their playing careers have ended.
